What is the oborading an employee process and what steps does it contain?
The process of onboarding an employee is the process of introducing a new person to the organization and familiarizing them with the company’s culture and policies so that they can effectively and efficiently perform their duties. One of the basic elements of the procedure is the preparation of the user’s digital attributes, such as an email account, granting permissions to network resources and the issuance of work equipment.
OXARI system has ready-made diagrams for handling the onboarding process of a new employee, and allows you to model the logic of operation of the required stages and approvals.
The most common onboarding stages include:
- setting up a user account, placement in the OU – the process usually begins in the HR department
- setting up an email account
- granting permissions to company systems and network resources
- issuance of computer hardware, phone, SIM card
- implementation of established security policies
- handing over the required regulations
At each of the described points, you can specify the number of intermediate steps (such as acceptance of the supervisor, DPO, Board of Directors) and the configuration of acceptance rules. An additional benefit of systemic management of the onboarding process in OXARI Asset Management is a complete record of the history of acceptance, the dates when authorizations are valid, and a list of transferred hardware resources.
